Symptoms

Symptoms can take anywhere from 2-14 days to appear after exposure to the virus. Here is a list of possible symptoms you may experience:

DISCLAIMER: Those infected with the virus, may not always show symptoms. This would make them an asymptomatic carrier that can still pass the virus to other people. For this reason, we recommend following the protocol in the prevention section

Protocol

Once you have gotten the virus, it is important that you do not continue to spread it to those you are living with, or strangers.

  1. Alert anyone you have been in close contact with within the past 2 weeks to get tested
  2. Isolate yourself from the people in your household: stay at home and do not leave if possible

Treatment

In most cases, if your symptoms are not severe, you will be able to recover from the virus at home

When to seek help

While it is possible to treat the virus at home, if your symptoms continue to worsen, or you are experiencing any of the symptoms in this list, seek emergency medical attention immediately:

Call 911 or an emergency hospital and alert them that you are seeking treatment for a COVID-19 related issue.
